Student PIRGs Staff
Margaret Howe is the Assistant National Organizing Director for the Student PIRGs and also oversees the campus program for Maryland PIRG and WashPIRG Students. She got her start as the campus organizer with CALPIRG at UC Davis in 2007. In 2010 as the Assistant Organizing Director for CALPIRG Students she helped to oversee campus organizers across the state running a field campaign that gathered 160,000 pledges from students to defeat Proposition 23, a ballot measure that would reverse California's landmark global warming law. Margaret has a degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Margaret is also active in a Chicago running crew and is usually in training for her next marathon.
