Arizona PIRG Students work with professional staff at colleges and universities across Arizona to make sure our peers have the skills, opportunities and training they need to create a better, more sustainable future for all of us.

This fall in Arizona, we launched our New Voters Project, a non-partisan youth voter mobilization effort to help first-time voters have the tools they need to get registered and turn out to vote.

Last fall, we’re worked on campuses across the state to help register thousands of young people to vote for the 2020 Election.

2020 Vision

Despite increased turnout in 2018, younger generations still vote in lower numbers than older generations.  We can choose to let other people make decisions that impact our future, or we can vote and get a future that works for us.

So we’re continuing the effort to educate and empower young people around the country to register and vote.

In fall 2020, we worked with college campuses and cities to make it easier, safer, and more accessible for students to vote. And we’re working with college campus administrators to make voting and civic engagement more institutionalized in residence halls, class registration, and other aspects of student life.
