With finals starting and the semester coming to an end, I wanted to give you a quick update on all the work accomplished this semester:
- Break Free From Plastics: We gathered petition signatures on campus to urge the campus to phase out unnecessary single-use plastics on campus!
- Hunger and Homelessness: During Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, we organized a fundraising drive outside of Fry’s Food and Drug for the Flagstaff Family Food Center! Our students collected 562 pounds of non-perishable food items and over $130.
We’re so excited about all the things we were able to accomplish this semester and are looking forward to hitting the ground running next year! Want to learn more about getting involved? Fill out this interest form.
Our campaigns next semester:
- New Voters Project: We’ll be working with our coalition, NAU Votes, and other campus partners to prepare students to turn out for the 2022 primaries!
- Hunger and Homelessness: We’ll continue to build on all the great work we did this semester to continue addressing food and housing insecurity on and off-campus!
Get involved with these campaigns and apply for an internship for next semester!
Good luck with finals,
Sydney Kale
