We need the passion and energy of young voices more than ever. Over the past year, our team empowered college students across the country to step up, educate their peers, lead on their campuses and in their communities, and use their advocacy and organizing skills to drive real change on the issues that matter most. We’re excited to share our new annual report with you! Read on to download the full report and explore some of the highlights.

Investing in the Next Generation

During the 2023-2024 academic year, more than 2,000 students got involved with our program on 187 campuses across the country. Students took more than 58,000 campaign actions to fight for a shared vision of a better future.

Civic Engagement

While we’re gearing up for the 2024 presidential election, we know that it’s not enough to just vote in the general election. So across the country, we made over 75,000 peer-to-peer get-out-the-vote contacts via phone calls, text messages, and in-person events to turn students out to vote in primary elections.

Building a Sustainable Future

With the United States suffering from extreme heat, drought and worsening wildfires, we need to increase our use of clean, renewable energy to ensure a stable and livable climate. This year, we worked to defend landmark investments in climate solutions, called on the EPA to take the strongest regulatory actions possible to fight global warming, and educated over 8,000 people about cost-saving programs to save money and protect the environment.

Supporting Students’ Basic Needs

This year, we worked to address students’ basic needs by running campaigns to end hunger and homelessness on campus, and to reduce the cost of textbooks. We won $1M in the Massachusetts state budget for the Hunger-Free Campus Initiative, set up new systems of food access at colleges in Florida, and won a textbooks price transparency law in California.
