Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week 2024 Highlights

Blog Post

Last month was Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week!

Today, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible efforts made nationwide to shed light on these critical issues. From community events and educational workshops to advocacy campaigns and food and clothing drives, people across the country came together to make a difference. This week demonstrated the power of collective action and compassion, reminding us that we all have a role to play in addressing hunger and housing insecurity. As we move forward, let us carry the momentum from the week into the months and year ahead, continuing to work toward a future where everyone has a place to call home and enough to eat.

Across the country, hundreds of schools, student groups, community organizations, charities, and businesses participated. In total, an estimated 26,000 people participated in the week, and we reached 3.2 million people with our #hhweek hashtag!!
